So, I had mentioned that I'm getting bone treatments, which will start in December. Yesterday while I was at the doctors I asked what these treatments would be like. All I know is that they are putting me on Zometa to help with the bone erosion. Originally they said that the Zometa could be given at the clinic where I get my tumor treatments. I found out yesterday that I have to go to the day hospital to get these. It's the same hospital, just a different part of the same floor.
What I was told to expect was to be there for a few hours. I will be bringing our new laptop and blogging while I'm there. I will get 2 bags of IV fluid dripped into my port which should take about 2 hours. Then once that is in my system, I will get the Zometa dripped into the port over another hour. Once that's finished I get another IV bag of fluid. So 4 hours of being hooked up to a machine plus the normal doctor time (which is running at about 2 hours). I need to get Netflix so I can start plowing thru different tv shows and movies!!
