Where to start

I'm not writing this to complain but just to give an update. So, bear with me and my continued crabbiness. I'm working 2 channels to get my Nexavar. It's been a week and I still have no answers yet.

CVS Caremark is still evil. We put thru to get my prescription. They asked for prior authorization which my doctor provided. The same day I got denied for coverage. The next day we put in an appeal with supporting documentation  (and this one) on why the drug works. It was denied the same day. Then on Tuesday, my doctor opened a doctor-to-doctor appeal. They said we would hear back within 24 hours. It's now Friday and Caremark still has not called my doctor back yet.

So then I tried to get Nexavar/ Bayer to pay for my drugs. I put in my application and I was denied immediately. I put in a appeal on Wednesday and they said I would hear back on Thursday. Well, it's Friday and they still haven't made a decision. Sigh.

So, we decided to pay for the drug until someone decides to help us... or we get firm nos and then I will buy it from Canada. My doctor said they could get it for me but they are an hour away from the house. If I had wanted to get it from the hospital on Friday, I needed to order it on Thursday at 3pm. I called around yesterday to see where else I could get it. My local CVS (reminder: the company is evil) said they could get it for me and that I could get it in 2 tablet increments! Score. I don't want to buy more than we need, right?

Needless to say, I ordered it from my local CVS. They called me at 7:30 to say they didn't realize they couldn't get it. It would have to be mail ordered to me. So I missed the window for my hospital and my local CVS couldn't get it for me.

I'm trying to stay positive. I will get the drugs but its taking longer than I want. Why is this so incredibly difficult??
