I figured it was time to give an update about how everything went at the doctors yesterday. I only have 9 more treatments left which means I'm over the 75% done with my treatments!! It is so exciting to be that close to the finish. I realize that I have 5 more months of this, but this is the easy half.
The week was relatively painless and I'm already starting to perk back up. While I was waiting for my drugs to be prepared, my friend and I played my new favorite game - Bananagrams! Having a distraction really helped me stay calm which is half the battle. The nurse who accessed my port isn't my favorite, but she is really trying. The drugs went in and I got immediately sick to my stomach. I really hope I never yack on the nurses while they are giving me the drugs. This is the 3rd week in a row where this has happened. After the drugs, I got my crackers and Sprite and we left.
Since today is barely 12 hours after treatment, I'm pleased that I'm not feeling awful. Granted, I just woke up about 20 minutes ago. The key for a good day is laying around and doing nothing. I think my Kindle and I have a date.
