I meant to add this, but somehow forgot? I talked to the doctor and they STILL want to keep me on monthly Zometa. AUGH. I asked if they've seen this reaction before and the doctor said yes. They have given the medicine to 2 patients and both of them (obviously me being one of them) had the high fever.
In January, we'll try Zometa again. Here's to hoping it will be better than round 1!
