So after 2 back-to-back weeks of treatment, I had my bone treatment this week. Zometa kicks my ass a little more each time I get it. We decided to come up with a plan in case things didn't go as planned. I get 1 hour of fluids then I get Zometa over an hour. I pre and post-medicate with Tylenol to keep the fever away. Since I keep getting infections we are doing some additional things to combat that. I would go into detail but it's a little private. The day of drugs, I was feeling significantly better after Zometa. However this month it finally caught up with me. I can't say I'm thrilled.
After bone drugs, my friend and I went for lunch. My stomach was upset after the bone drugs but after I ate I felt better. So we went to Ikea for a little shopping. By the time we got home I was absolutely exhausted. She left to drive to Cleveland and I immediately fell asleep on the couch. My husband came home and I didn't notice until he was literally next to me. After sleeping for 11 hours I woke up and I was tired. I've been moping around trying to nap all day. My eyes feel heavy and I'm groggy. Let's hope by resting and following "the plan" that I'll be infection free this month. I'm just zonked. Next week I'm getting my normal treatment. Four weeks in a row of drugs is the most I've has since October/November. I can't wait for my week off so I can feel normal again.
