Still Learning but Almost Finished

I feel like I'm still learning how to cope with taking chemo drugs but I'm almost finished. In fact, I have less than a month until I'm finished!!! 2 more chemo treatments and one last bone treatment. It doesn't feel real.

I realized over the past few weeks that my sense of smell has increased. One day my husband and I left to go run errands. Our, new-to-us, pup was put down the basement. As soon as we walked in the door, I noticed a poop smell and knew what had happened. Turns out the dog had an accident down the basement. There have been other things I've noticed too! So I decided to do a little research this morning.

Did you know vinblastine and methotrexate are two drugs that effect your sense of smell and taste? It is not uncommon for people getting these drugs to have side effects and the side effects can last days, weeks or even months. I read here all about the taste changes. Since I'm effected by this, it also helps explain why my nausea might be worse than some other people getting the same treatment.
