Just a few quick highlights around the positive things in my life.
Update #1: My tumors are shrinking and darkening
Yes! You read that correctly. It's taken me a month to actually start to accept it. The tumor in my elbow (Oscar) showed it was smalled from January to June. The other larger tumor (Fred) is the same size but he is getting darker. Darker is good. When I get an MRI, they inject dye into my arm. The dye brightens in the area where the tumor is alive and growing. I need 2-3 scans of the same news to actually really believe it.
Update #2: My elbow is moving again
So my tumor in my elbow grew slightly from April to June. It's angry because I've been going to physical torture... oh I'm sorry physical therapy twice a week. However, in April I could only move my elbow 5 degrees. Not joking you. It was stiff at my side. I can now bend it 80 degrees on my own and with assistance 90-95 degrees. I get to the 95 degrees with pressing and crunching.
That's all for now but it's all good news!
Hi Nicole!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are continuing to do well. I have a desmoid tumor on my left buttocks. I was treated with Methotraxate and Vinblastin two years ago. And although it didn't get rid of my tumor it did darken/turn off the cells. I'm considering asking my doctor what he thinks about Nexavar and my tumor and I came across your blog.
Thank you for sharing!
