Freak Out!

So about 2 weeks ago, I started to have some issues with my arm and finger. My arm had shooting pain and my ring finger began to swell. I had the side effects for ... I can tell you all this in a minute because I have GOOD NEWS!

I got my 9 month MRI today and the doctor said "The preliminary read looks reasonably good (no growth and maybe a little shrinkage)"

Did you catch the key word in there? Shrinkage.

Ok, so back to the story. I had some pain and my fingers look like little sausages. I can't even put my wedding ring on my finger, because it's so inflamed. So I told the doctor last Wednesday and he told me to monitor it and that I might have slept on it wrong but he looked concerned and asked if I wanted to move my MRI. I said NO. I didn't want to get the results earlier than necessary.

So this week my finger was still swollen and I was having issues with my arm. We agreed and I went in for my MRI today. The doctor just emailed me with prelim results. I'm excited, relieved and thrilled.

I hope there is darkening of the tumor and that it shrunk, even if its just a little. 9 months and no recurrence means something is working.

PS When I hear the word shrinkage, I think of George Costanza "I was in the pooooool".
